Aziz Goza

With over 15 years of experience across Africa and Asia, I am a nutrition and statistics specialist dedicated to strengthening large-scale child nutrition data systems. My career has been deeply rooted in the Sahel region including Senegal, Mauritania, Mali, Burkina Faso, and Niger where I formerly served as a UNICEF Emergency Health and Nutrition Specialist.

I specialise in the end-to-end management of nutrition issues, from planning and implementation to monitoring and evaluation. I have managed and designed complex nutrition survey programs (including KAP, LQAS, SQUEAC/SLEAC, and SMART) and have expertise in developing and implementing innovative measurement methodologies.

My technical background is grounded in advanced epidemiology and biostatistics. I leverage mHealth technologies (ODK, Dimagi) and software tools like R, Power BI, SPSS, Sphinx, EpiData, and ENA for SMART to build automated data workflows. Whether I am transforming datasets into actionable insights, designing databases, or leading community mobilisation and adult training, my ultimate goal is to support evidence-based health and nutrition programming.

I currently serve as the Executive Director of nutriverse.
